Thanks Christian and Matt for supplying your turnkey Big Block Ford FE 390 stroked to 427ci engine for my Dax Cobra replica. With 530HP, the performance is awesome. The low down torque is phenomenal, and the sound is spectacular.  The engine is hooked up to a Tremec 600 transmission, and once installed, the engine started on the first turn of the key. A true turn-key engine!

I just wanted to say that I am very please with the engine that I have purchased from you. It was so easy to install into the car, I have very little mechanics experience and with the video instructions it was easy. I have driven the car about 100 miles now with no problems at all. The only problem I have is with my neighbors, they have already called the cops twice and the car was just idling. Lucky for me I live in a small town and our cop is a hot rod fan; he may be your next client!

Update from South Africa

Hi Matt & Bruce

We held our annual South African Cobra Club National Drag Championships this week-end . We lost the championship by 0.1 secs , but will settle for 2nd . The car did 0-100 kph in 3.73 secs - (0-60 mph = 3.60 secs) and the quarter mile in 11.88 secs . If we had proper drag tyres (we raced on our circuit tyres) I am sure we would have won , but I am sure these figures would make some interesting reading on your forum . This 383 Chevy that you built for my cobra is awesome!!!!! Keep up the good work.

This is a shot of my 1988 Vette. I installed one of your 383 Stroker Motors with the ZZ-9 roller cam. I added a 58MM throttle body and a modified mass air senor and a vortex cold air system, plus a aluminum flywheel. I mounted one of Be cool direct fit aluminum radiators, high volume water pump which dropped the temperature 25 degrees, even in traffic in the middle of July. The car never went out over 190 degrees with the AC on!

One tip I recommend when going with ZZ-9 roller cam or larger is an adjustable throttle position sensor kit. The stock TPS sensor sucked. With the adjustable TPS, here¹s no stumbling or surging, just that nice lumpy cam sound and instant throttle response.

Hi Matt,

I did the first 300 hundred miles with the new engine. The new installed flywheel goes well. It was a reality : I turned the key one time and let’s go. I didn’t go up 3500 revs/min but it was quite enough to feel very good sensations….I will do a thousand mile before driving “seriously”…. and trying the 475 HP…

I installed 18” wheels with Pirelli P Zero 255/45/18 and 285/40/18, strong shock absorbers, etc It’s like to go karting!!!

Gentlemen, My motor is in and done! It was an easy job except for doing it outside in the Florida summer sun.  Any how, I put in a new 4 core radiator, the 460 HP 383 stroker motor with a new 700R4 n4 speed transmission.  The motor is strong, tight, no leaks, loud and has awesome power, however I haven't really gotten into it yet as I'm breaking it in slowly.  Matt, I want to thank you again for your continuing availability and help through out this project. I would definitely buy more motors from you guys. You did all you said you would, did it promptly, and did it right the first time.

I received the engine yesterday, after getting it situated and dealing with "The Committee" (my friends who are telling me how I should spend my money on this project) I was too tired to watch the video. I did today and was stoked, of course I skipped right to 1700 on the counter (I promise I will go back and watch your instructions). The engine is "UNBELIEVABLE!", thanks for the polished intake. I will keep you guys informed of project status. I hope to be complete with Phase I
(drivable) late summer, early fall.

Thanks for the awesome 502 engine that you built for my Camaro we are doing very well at car shows. The performance is great and we love the boost in horsepower.

You should know that to put a 502 in a '69 Camaro after removing a small block 350 requires changing the frame mounts. The needed big block frame mounts can be purchased from Classic Industries

Gentlemen,

I am presently running your Stroker engine, (460 hp, e-tech heads and air gap intake), on my airboat. This small block (383) Stroker exceeded all my performance expectations. I rode in the the black mud trying to get my airboat stuck and always came out of it with ease. When I run the ground, the hill or whatever this engine performs with ease. It is presently mounted on a 14 foot laser hull with conduit metal works.

When I am in the no wake zone people stop and look. This Stroker motor hits a hard lick. I would recommend the engine factory for your engine needs. Air boaters if you are looking for a performance crate engine ready to run, look no further. When you consider money, time, and effort the engine factory is priced right. Will send picture in the future my metal works have to be powder coated, that means I have to take everything apart and pull the engine. If you see the Green Mamba Stroker around the Camp Mack area ask me about the engine factory. You cannot miss my boat it is different. Once again thank you.

Here are the pictures of my 73 Monte I said I would send, sorry they took as long as the install. I am very happy with my 350/400hp, it is all you promised. It arrived promptly and took me about five months to install, I am a novice so it just goes to show you anybody can buy and install enginefactory.com engines. The problems were with the 400 Turbo Trans I upgraded to from the 350. It gets the looks I expected and is very quick for such a heavy car. Thanks again for all of your help Matt , I will continue to recommend your company to all.

Hey Bruce and Matt:

I bought this 383 475 H.P. Stroker from you in October of 2005. I am attaching a picture of it in my 1972 Monte Carlo - a ground up restoration. We finally started the engine this past Friday. It cranked for about a 1/2 second before firing. Holy cow! With the Magnaflow exhaust, it sounds like "rolling thunder." We are making the final hookups and should be driving it in a couple of weeks. I'll update you then.

Matt,

Late last year you worked with me on getting two engines built for my jeep as well as my fathers jeep. The time you spent with me on the phone and the communication you had was top notch. You made the entire experience a pleasure. My father and I were more than impressed with the engines we received from EngineFactory.com. Your willingness to talk with me on the phone and work with me made me very confident in doing business with you.

On top of the great communication, the build time on these engines was incredible. If I recall you quoted me a build time of about a month and both engines were done in less than two weeks. They came so quick, that we had to work faster in order to get the jeeps prepped for the install. The upgrades that were added to my fathers engine such as the March Pulley System and the aluminum edelbrock heads really dressed up the entire engine and engine compartment.

I would like to thank you again for everything and making this process very simple. I never lost confidence in anything that was going on with these engines. You all have far exceeded our expectations. Thanks again for everything.

I have included some pictures of the engine compartment of both jeeps so others can see how they looked in our 84 and 85 CJ-7's. I would definitely be recommending you all to anyone who is planning on purchasing an engine for any of their vehicles. I know for a fact my brother will be in touch with you when he is ready for his build up. Thanks again.
