Chevy changed the design of the rear main bearing oil seal back in 1986 Although it was a good design what happens is when the engine oil is not changed at regular intervals the abrasive in the oil cuts a groove in the crankshaft. Our 3 piece kit has a micro thin stainless steel sleeve that presses on the back of the crankshaft which eliminates the groove. We supply the kit with the special tool that allow you to install the sleeve easily. This is a permanent repair. We also send a video link.
